"Waiting time and appointment Status"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

In a nutshell, suffered cornea abrasion, attended in March 2016 and had a Lens Cap placed over my eye to protect it.

I was told to return at the start of April 2016 to speak with the consultant and a letter would be sent to confirm the appointment.

To date, no letter received and I have spent a total of 2 hours waiting on the phone trying to get through. What medical establishments fail to realise is we also have day job and priorities! !

I was told not to attend until I have received my letter - as the appointment date is the 1st April- which is tomorrow, what do I now do? do I attend without my letter? The point of making my telephone call this morning was to ask if I can attend without the letter? has the letter been sent?
