"My stay was ok until the discharge process."

About: King's Mill Hospital

The discharge was a complete shambles. This is surely the least stressful & traumatic period of someone's stay yet the lack of communication & process is evident. No one seemed to know what was happening, patients are sent to an area that is the basement, it is cramped, uninviting & no one explains anything to the patients or family members. It was disgusting to be honest. Patient care should be from the moment you walk in to the hospital to the minute you walk out yet it is clear that kings mill constantly fails to deliver on this, despite all the so called praise they seem to get in the Chad. I would say for every satisfied patient there are 9 unsatisfied patients. I work for the NHS so would normally defend them with my life, but it's no wonder kmh is in special measures with the cqc. Appalling.....
