"bad service, rude staff, never want to come..."

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

All the ladies in my family have given birth in Ealing and it has always been rated 5star, as Ealing maternity ward has been shut down I was left with no choice but to come to west Middlesex. It honestly has been the worst service every, staff were completely rude upon arrival to the patients family. This is meant to be a happy moment and staff at west mid maternity ward will assure that this happy moment is taken away from you and turned into something evil. One staff in particular kept screaming about its policy you need to get out. That is not the way you talk to anyone and we work in professional jobs and had we spoken the way they did we would have been given the sack. Patients who are on the bed are expected to go and fetch their own food regardless of what their health is in, maybe a little more thought should be given into the service provided. We had to bring our own milk whereas in Ealing SMA milk was always provided to the children. Nurses were asked to check the nappy of the baby as I was unable to move and they checked and walked away. My family member had to check the nappy after a while to find poo all up the backside of the baby nappy, back and clothes. They also advised that if you require that much care call someone from your family to look after you and your baby overnight, which I had to do and the best care was given by my family. At night the heating was switched off it was cold and not once did the nurses come in to feel if the room was cold for the baby, I had to ask them to check only to find out a window was left wide open all night. On discharging no information about midwife meeting with the child was given, communication was very poor. I would hope I never have to come back to this hospital to give birth again, very very dissatisfied. In comparison to Ealing, Ealing hospital was 5 star.
