About: Trafford General Hospital

Thank you to all on ward 4 for the great care you gave my dad. For the first time in a long he is not experiencing pain and is like a different person. My mum keeps joking that we brought the wrong dad home. It's such a shame that Trafford is being run down. Dad has recently been in both Salford Royal and Manchester Royal for quite some time but none of them looked at the simple need of managing his pain, but concentrated on his complex needs.

Thank you for your kind comments regarding Ward 4 at Trafford Hospital. We were pleased to hear that your father is not experiencing any pain since his visit to the ward. It is always good to receive positive feedback. We will pass your comments on to the Matron on Ward 4 so that they can be shared with the team.

It is a misconception that Trafford is being run down. Since 2013 Trafford Hospital has been providing a new range of health services following a period of public consultation, when a new health deal for Trafford was agreed. This was to ensure that Trafford Hospital remains safe, sustainable and able to continue to deliver high quality care into the future. We continue to develop services on these sites as part of the strategy for the hospitals. Trafford and Altrincham Hospitals are part of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
