"Communication - Sorry what?"

About: King's Mill Hospital

I had a telephone call today from an OT at KMH asking if I had any concerns about my Mother going home.

I'm sorry, what, are you telling me she is in hospital?

Apparently she was admitted last Thursday and the first contact I had from them was today; and that wasn't even Ward Staff but an OT asking about going home.

Exceptional example of good communication and involving family KMH - Well done!

Dear reviewer,

We are very sorry to hear about your experience in hearing from an occupational therapist that your mother was in hospital and ready to go home. If you wish we would like to look into the matter to investigate your concerns further.

If you are happy for us to do so, please contact PET@sfh-tr.nhs.uk or telephone 01623 672222.

Kind regards,

Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
