I was admitted to UHCW in January of this year following a car accident and have subsequently been treated by a number of departments as both an in and outpatient. I have a very positive view of the whole hospital and no matter which department I was being treated by, always felt that I was in safe hands. Departments are easy to find and I've never come across an area that wasn't well managed or easy to find.
Due to the nature of my most significant injury, most of the care I have been given has been from or managed by the Ophthalmology Department and therefore it is of this department that I will review. In short, the care I've been given is second to none & I couldn't think more highly of the various staff within the department - who as well as providing great medical treatment have also been accommodating and kind.
As an additional side note, one of the non medical elements I've been most impressed with is their educational programme. The consultant leading my care has always involved their whole team - which not only gives me confidence in my own care but also that other patients might benefit later down the line.
"Couldn't think more highly of this hospital!"
