"Poor quality doctors in a and e"

About: Rotherham Hospital

Visted the a and e about a year a go after a bad tackle whilst playing football to my ankle i could barley walk on it and was swollen twice the normal size after waiting around 3 hours i had an x ray and was told its not broken / fractured and the best think to do is to walk on it as much as i can i said can you give me some crutches because i can not walk on it answer was no we can not supply them to you so off home my wife takes me next morning my foot was badly bruised still twice normal size and would not take any weight at all after buying some crutches from argos at around 25£ i spent the next week walking on it as much as poss still twice size i go back to same a and e who re check my x ray oops its fractured we missed it worst thing you can do is walk on it they then put me a cast on and gave me crutches but i had damaged tissue after trying my best to walk on it while in pain for a week its now over 1.5 years ago and i still can not run properly on my ankle fractured talus as been the worst injury i have ever had in 32 years and i think it could av been a lot better with correct treatment from start only good thing i can say is the doctor who was seeing me in the after care department was a genuine nice person prob a decent hospital in general but the a and e section needs proper management and correct staffing levels in all expertise i did re visit the a and e 7 months after the first for another x ray on my face as it was swollen up on one side i thought it was sinusitis i have had it before cus i have a few plates in my face from a crash years ago after x ray doc said it was a aybses in my lower tooth but i did tell them all pressure is from top teeth but the doctor said no defo lower and showed me x ray next day off to dentist i go suprise suprise the aybses was upper tooth where i showed doc lol they only had been looking at x ray up side down yet again poor a and e service after v long wait
