"I am on chemotherapy and my immunity ..."

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I am on chemotherapy and my immunity is low and the receptionist on A&E made provision for me to wait in side room.

Staff were very thorough in checking all possible causes of my symptoms.

Staff were kind +I was offered a drink and food as it was a long evening. Dr explained to me what was happening, tests being done etc

Next morning staff agreed I was fit to be discharged and to save me waiting they kindly agreed to post discharge letter to home address

What could be improved

While on the Medical Ward overnight for ECG I was given conflicting info. about whether I could walk to the WC while the monitor was attached. Got gently "told off" a couple of times although I had checked with another member of staff first.

Helpful if consistent info. given

Anything else?

Thank you for prompt and thorough attention
