"Extremely busy. 4-5 hour wait but staff coped well"

Attended Sunday evening with sick child. More staff required for the amount of people they have to deal with. We were told from the beginning it would be a very long wait but when it's your child you are prepared to wait. They could do with a speaker/screen to announce when patients are called as you cannot hear with everyone talking. Staff coped extremely well given the amount of people they have to deal with. A lot of patients are there with their whole family which creates a lot of unnecessary chaos. One person with one patient is enough unless you need to bring siblings. Very clean. People need to be grateful we have access to 24hr care. A lot of places in the world do not. And they need to stop asking how much longer as this just holds the staff up. The doctor we saw was extremely polite thorough and kind. Thank you.

Dear Patient,

Thank you very much for your positive and constructive feedback; it is much appreciated by the whole Urgent Care Centre team.

Positive feedback is very motivational for staff and allows us to see where we are performing well, especially during busy periods as you describe.

We will review our system for calling patients to ensure everyone is able to hear when their name is called out.

With thanks

Urgent Care Centre Team
