"When I go for my repeat prescription the surgery is shut"

About: Nottinghamshire County Teaching PCT

(as the patient),

I work 40 hours a week. We have a new surgery, but only open 4 days a week, Monday & Tuesday, Wednesday they have a training afternoon. It must be quite often every time I go down for my repeat prescription they are shut Wednesday pm. Thursday is halfway closing and Friday.

They boast about having early nurse and doctors on duty, but you can only book them two days in advance at 8:30 in the morning, I have just phoned this morning, for the third time, over the last three weeks, and was told, hard luck they have all gone. The thing is they rang me while I was at work and left a message. I think I am going to the drop in centre at king’s mill, it will be a wait, but I will get sorted out.

Thank you for giving your feedback regarding the surgery hours at your practice.

If you would like to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at NHS Nottinghamshire County on 0800 028 3693 with the surgery details, they will be able to look into this for you.

Good luck & best wishes
