"Difficulties in getting support from our local surgery"

About: Barking and Dagenham PCT

(as the patient),

I moved from Wales with my husband and 4 children to Dagenham. Started the process of registering with new doctors and it has been a nightmare; I am considering never going to 1 again.

I have found the staff I spoke to rude and every time we need to be seen we are told by the doctor we are not fully registered and turned away!!

I have tried to get support for depression, my son's behaviour and medication for my thyroid and they are making it so difficult. In my opinion, they are rude and seem uncaring as they send me to other doctors who say the same things; I don't feel able to tell them anything now.

I had a good relationship with my last doctors.

I had to have bloods elsewhere before my medical, I have had my medical I am fully registered so why on earth can they not access my records instead of expecting me to run around and get all the information and proof?? It’s all on a pc screen!

I was told I would be called for via post when my baby needed his jabs. This was the way things run in Wales and then when I had asked about it again not hearing anything I get told in fact it is my responsibility to arrange these, I have never met a HV or know anything of a baby clinic, they have told me nothing here. I don't have 3 of my children’s red immunisation books but gave them details of where they had them but I have to trace them up, why?
