"Cardiac rehab team were wonderful"

About: Ashford Hospital

I was directed to the Cardiac Rehab team (they call themselves Cardiac Risk Management but i don't think that conveys the way the help you move forward) by my GP in January 2016 following very serious open heart Surgery late in 2015

The team of cardiac nurses and cardiac physios were genuinely excellent at every point

They made sure that each patient was carefully monitored and that the programme of exercise was constantly reviewed and revised to achieve the best result for that individual

Without doubt they contributed greatly to my own recovery and have helped me rebuild my confidence in my ability to exercise safely yet vigorously back out in the real world

They showed real levels of care and expertise during the programme and i think myself very fortunate to have been referred there

We appreciate that undergoing heart surgery is a major event in anyone's life and are pleased to hear that you feel so well supported in your recovery by our cardiology team. The team consistently receive positive feedback, which is no doubt testament to the high quality of care they provide to patients. It is great that you have built your fitness back up and now feel confident exercising in the 'real world'. It's what the team sets out to do and they will be delighted with your comments; thanks for taking the time to share them with us.
