3 years ago I fell and broke my wrist. I simply could not fault the treatment I received, both in A & E, where I was X-rayed, diagnosed and plastered in little over an hour, and at the clinic in Lewisham Street where I received physiotherapy. Two recent visits to the hospital have reinforced my opinion that they do a wonderful job in difficult circumstances and under great pressure. The first visit was for a scan to check for a blood clot. I was seen on time and treated with the utmost care and dignity by very pleasant staff. Fortunately the scan proved negative. Shortly afterwards I had occasion to take my husband to A & E and was again very impressed with the treatment received. Obviously life-threatening cases will always take priority, but at least Sandwell A & E seems to have a good triage system and staff on hand who can deal with less serious cases which would otherwise be waiting for hour upon hour. A very well run department in our experience.
"Excellent treatment."
