"Wow!"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

Having had a minor stroke in Spain (excellent hospital and treatment) I was referred back to my GP who referred me to hospital. Same day received appointment at the Assessment and Therapy Centre for following morning, with clear instructions for parking. Arrived for appointment. Polite and caring staff. Excellent consultant. Everything clearly explained. Told that I needed further tests. Then told that they had managed to arrange them for the same day if I wished. Even lunch provided for us both. Scans successfully completed, further consultation with consultant provided full explanation of scans results, plan of action before sending home a very happy man. Many thanks to all at the ATC, - great treatment in every way.

I am so sorry that you suffered a minor stroke whist on holiday, but thank you very much for taking the time to write to us with your positive review of our Assessment and Therapy Centre.

The staff work tremendously hard to ensure patients receive a good service when they come to hospital and I am pleased that your recent experience was a positive one

Your comments demonstrate this is a whole team approach to care as everyone has a part to play in the patient experience.

I will forward your comments to the team who will be pleased to hear that you think you had ‘great treatment in every way’

Best regards,

Alison S-D
