"Trying to contact the Orthopaedics department"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I have been trying to contact the General Orthopaedic department via the trust switchboard and the direct line number (several times now) as I have lost my appointment letter and I want to confirm my time and date for my next consultation, but it keeps ringing out. Having had a distal femoral osteotomy just over 12 months ago (which is taking me a long time to get over) I don't want to get a DNA against my name as I can't afford to miss the appointment. Also this 'leave a comment' page is very frustrating; if you click out the box it loses all your text. I have had to type it on an email and then cut and paste it in.

Very annoying on both counts.

Dear Reviewer,

We are sorry to hear about your recent experience in contacting our department. Can you please send your details (name, NHS number, date of birth) to sally.le-good@uhl-tr.nhs.uk then we can look into when your consultation is for you. We will also pass on your feedback to the NHS Choices web team regarding the website.

Kind regards,
