"Receptionist Manor"

As a new patient I attended

The Broomwood Road surgery to register today and was told by the receptionist that I needed my nhs number which I did not have at the time, but told the receptionist that on the surgery website it wasn't nessacery and registration and appointments would not be withheld from me on the basis that i don’t have the necessary personal identification at hand. To be then told I couldn't be registred because I did not have my NHS number in my eyes as a new patient was unreasonable. Unresponsive, rude staff at my first visit ended with me very stressed and anxious. Not only that I was told the next urgent doctors appointment would be in two days time and would have to call on that Friday morning to book an appointment. After diagnosed with depression by the Mental Health Team and running out of meds my experience with this receptionist left me dishearten and very stressed. All on all the NHS is a wonderful service.
