I have been attending this hospital for well over a year now and reading some of the newer reviews I can relate to one of the issues raised (albeit this was talking about staff over a year ago) I can not speak highly enough of about all the staff and the changes brought about by the new charge nurse namely Lisa (who has now left) and Audrey deputy charge nurse. I was quite open in stating I wanted to remove my mother in law, who has now passed away. But after voicing my concerns with Lisa, I was reluctant to change my mind but after getting issues clarified and the care problems dealt with I left her in Ellens' Glen. I am more than happy to praise these girls and boys in the unit from the domestics to nursing staff off all grades. The staff sit with some of the residents who are often agitated and some times quite aggressive, they take time to talk to relatives and residents albeit they are all always short of hands and bodies, but they still find time for the residents.

I would like to thank some off the staff who we have came to know well and looked after my mother in law. Elaine, Liz, Emma, Susan, Alan, Michelle, Lynn (domestic) and so many other but I would be here all day.

Many, many thanks, we were so glad that we did leave her here until the end.

You all do a fabulous job often in very trying circumstances.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your recent experiences whilst your mother in law was in Ellen's Glen. Please can l pass on my condolences to you and your family.

I was really pleased to hear how Lisa and Audrey were able to listen and clarify the issues you had for your mother in law were able to resolve these. I was also pleased to read how all the staff support patients, especially when they were agitated and take the time to talk to their families and relatives.

I have passed your feedback onto the team at Ellen's Glen and l am sure they will be pleased with your feedback as to how they cared for your mother in law.
