"booking of appointment"

I have been waiting an appointment since 4th March. I had an ultrascan done at a clinic which recommended a biopsy. I was referred by my GP to hospital who were aware I was anxious. I called on 14th to check progress and was informed that my appointment was on 18th March for a mammogram and then back for results on 26th April!!!! Considering I have already been seen for an ultrasound and was referred for a biopsy because a lump was found I was astounded to be told I need to have a similar test repeated then wait another month. Then what? I have to wait another month for another appointment? Information very poor and I am very disappointed and now more anxious then ever.
