I was admitted to the CTW last week after having thoracic surgery. I'm 30 years old and worry about everything. The staff on the ward looked after me so well from the minute I woke up until the minute I was discharged.
They didn't mind my crying or asking lots of questions or ringing the bell at 3am for pain relief. Nothing was too much trouble. They were able to cheer me up and put me and my family at ease.
I would particularly like to thank three particular nurses for being so so lovely they are a credit to the NHS. I would also like to particularly thank the surgeon and all the other doctors and nurses present in surgery and recovery. You all made the experience far less scary then I had imagined.
Thank you again
Emily
