"Neurosurgeons at QMC saved my son's life x"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

On the 13th October 2015 my 15 year old son had a bleed on his brain n was having a stroke in front of me and was horrific to see. The surgeons at the Q.M.C talked me through everything and as I signed papers I felt I was signing his life away as he may have died in theatre but didn't. They saved his life and I love u so much for that. The aftercare has been and still is fantastic. The paramedic and nurses who cared for him were amazing, the physio and neuropsycologist have been great I can't praise you all enough. When I hear how parking is rubbish and disabled parking isn't upto standard my blood boils because it's trivial. You people are saving their loved ones life's. I love you all and can T find words good enough for your good work . many thanks myself Kelly and my son xxx

Hi Kelly. Thank you for your kind words. We’re pleased to hear son received such great care and hope he is recovering well.

Your point is very well made about car parking appearing trivial compared to the experience you have recently been through, however, we readily accept that car parking is a source of frustration for too many of our patients and visitors, which we are taking steps to tackle.

Kind regards,

Janet Hagan.

Ward Manager, Paediatric Neurosciences.
