"Young people care in cornhill"

About: City Hospital / CAMHS

(as the patient),

When I was under 18 I was admitted to cornhill on a few occasions. It was a horrible experience for me as I was under 18 and in a ward with people aged 18+. The staff were nice but I felt when you were taken off of 24hr observation they forgot about you and hardly seen them. Lucky I had people who worked with me through CAMHS who came to see me on a weekly basis but I think if I didn't have that my experience would have been a lot worse as it didn't seem there were a lot of groups/activities for patients to take part in.

Dear Patient

Thank you for taking time to post your feedback on the Patient Opinion website. We are always very grateful for any feedback that might help us improve our care and services. It must have been hard for you as a teenager to be cared for in an adult environment, however I am gladdened to hear that the staff were all nice people, as of course we would expect then to be.

I will pass your comments on to the Service and ask if they feel that there are any gaps in care and if there is anything we can do to improve the situation.
