"exerience in city hosp."

About: City Hospital (Birmingham)

It was my first pregnancy. I broke my water at 38 weeks on sunday 11.30pm. Went to serenity city hosp. at 1am on monday and i forgot to take my notes with me but They still managed to do some random checks i was only 3cm dilated.

They sent me back home at 4am. My contraction got more closer and stronger after 3 hours. Went back to serenity at 7am monday. I was dilated 5cms then. The staff was extremely polite and given me homely feeling and encouraged me to cope with the pain.

They moved me to labour room after a short while. My labour was 17 hours long but the staff was really caring i didnt feel like i was in hospital for that long. Stayed in hosp. for 3 days and received excellent service. All the midwifes, students and all the ward staff was great. It was great experience for me to have my little boy in city hospital.

Hi Harp, thank you for sharing your positive experiences at Serenity at City Hospital. I am pleased that you were happy with the care during the birth of your son and during the time that you stayed in hospital after giving birth.

Thank you and I wish you and your little boy well, Toby Lewis, Chief Executive.
