"endoscopy procedure!"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

had an endoscopy yesterday at the

Q.E..

had the same done a few years ago with sedation and problem free, no pain felt.

Yesterday with sedation had discomfort and painful gagging, more sedation and all done.

sore throat after...... of course

I was explained all of this could happen and signed permission!

Is it about who carries out the procedure I wonder?...all professionals after all!

If yesterday had been the first one I wouldn't have had the second done!

Thank you for commenting on your experience in the Endoscopy Department. I am sorry that your experience this time did not go as smoothly as when you had your earlier procedure. The staff undertaking the procedure do try and make the scope as comfortable as possible and it is regrettable that on this occasion you experienced some difficulties. I will ensure that your feedback is shared with the staff in the department and I know that they would want to offer their apologies that you did not have such a positive experience on this occasion. If you would like to discuss it through with a member of staff I would be happy to arrange this for you.
