"New knee replacement,"

About: Solihull Hospital

I had my knee replacement in January 2016, after operation I was not given pain relief only offered paracetamol and nurofen. I was told that after I came out of operation I should have been given pain relief immediately, by the time the pain was so bad I was given liquid morfeen but was sick straight away. I was then given morfeen capsules every 12 hours but had to ask every time for them and as staff were always busy didn't sometimes get them. I couldn't get out of bed because the pain was that extreme I passed out, no extra pain relief day four out of bed physios said I passed all necessary things so go home absolutely traumatic time for me.

Dear Ms Hudson, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent hospital experience. This episode of your care certainly appears to have been very distressing to you. If you would like us to investigate this further I would be grateful if you could contact the Patient Services Team on 0121 424 0808 or by email on bhs_tr.Complaints-ConcernsandCompliments@nhs.net and we would be happy to look into this for you.

Kind regards

Margaret Mitchell
