Hi there
I visited A&E last Sunday for a relatively minor issue and could not have been more impressed about the level of service I received from start to finish. I was seen by the Triage nurse within 10 minutes of arriving, and then proceeded to be seen by a further 4 nurses and doctors over a period of 4 hours who were all extremely professional, patient, caring and understanding. Not once did I feel like I was being herded through the process to get me out of the door as quickly as possible, despite A&E being very busy that afternoon. I would like to reference one member of staff in the A&E dept who was just the most lovely person and wore a huge smile on their face for the whole day. They also made me feel at ease when I was extremely anxious about my symptoms and having blood tests, going above & beyond their duties.
I then got transferred to the gynecology department, who, despite having shorter staff numbers and being evidently rushed off their feet on that particular day still went to great lengths to see me promptly - I ended up being in the consultation room for the best part of 45 minutes, and the detail of care in which they gave me made me feel like I was the only patient in the hospital. I left feeling physically more relaxed and reassured, something which I hadn't felt in a while!
I am coming back to PRUH on Sunday for further tests - and I look forward to my visit!
Thank you again for all the hard work you do - the NHS is by far our country's most valuable asset - your dedication and compassion is hugely appreciated and simply not praised often enough.
Kind Regards,
Nicola Parry
"Thank you so much for a great experience!"
