"Good sight ruined following a poor review"

I had lens replacement surgery on 5th February. The surgery was extremely painful caused in part by the local anesthetic injection hrough vessels, the person doing it said "Oops Ive made it bleed" leaving my eye bleeding & needing a dressing.

Before surgery I was being told that there was a macular hole. However neither the optician I saw prior to referral or the technician who did a scan noted any hole. The photo technician looked for the hole to show my husband, even magnifying the complete macular looking for it before saying they could not find a hole. The optician didnt see one before and cant see one now

At no time was I told there was a risk of an astigmatism by anyone, Drs or nurses, only an apparently non existing macular hole may cause problems

I knew that my sight was far worse after surgery than before, only colours are now vivid.

I saw an optician today 09/03/16 who said they were amazed that the surgery has caused an astigmatism, they said it is years since they saw that and then it was with the old method of lens replacement which could be corrected by "tweaking the sutures" .

I am not allowed to drive at the moment, which as I will be on my own for 2 weeks next month will be difficult or dangerous.

I have an outpatients appointment on Monday but want to be referred to Sunderland Eye Infirmary or even Moorfields for the left eye to be operated on and the botched job on the right corrected

I even wonder if the surgeon, who was not the one named operated or were they in training
