"Ward staff were fantastic"

My son, just a year old, was admitted to the children’s ward with severe bronchitis and another infection in January. He was in hospital for a week. The care both he and I received was phenomenal, absolutely amazing. It was such a positive experience that when we needed to go back to the hospital for a follow up appointment my son showed no distress at all, he was quite happy to go back to the ward.

The staff on the ward made arrangements for me to stay with my son all the time he was in hospital, this was a great comfort to both of us – I had a proper bed not a chair that converted to a lounger which meant I could get a proper rest when my son was sleeping.

I also wanted to say that the student nurses and doctors were great.
