"Don't hold your breath!"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

After being referred for day surgery and having a pre op assessment 21weeks later am still waiting in anticipation.Surgeon's secretary on leave,do I 'wait and see' hoping they have actually put me on the waiting list or abuse the system and make a nuisance of myself with whoever is available. In the meantime I put life on hold and endure symptoms, true they are not life threatening but definitely reduce quality of life. Why can't they monitor who is waiting for what, how long have they been waiting and give some idea of what's happening?

Fed up and disgruntled!

We are very sorry to read that you have not been kept informed about your day surgery. This must be very frustrating for you. We have shared your review with the team.

Please do contact the Gynae Service for an update on your surgery. Alternatively you can contact the PALS Team on 020 3594 2040 or by email pals@bartshealth.nhs.uk to provide them with your personal information so that they are able to help you.

Kind regards

Barts Health NHS Trust
