"leaving in afternoon hours"

About: Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust

It's really hard to leave the hospital in afternoon, when most of the staff, can't wait to go home and don't do they job properly I'm waiting for my medicine for more than 5 hours and still waiting. It's outrageous, ward F7 staff is incompetent of performing normal duties, as they have message on the system around 7pm saying that the medication is ready to be collected and for 90 min no one has seen it.

Dear Geraldine

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on your discharge from hospital.

I'm very sorry to see that you were delayed waiting for the medication.

Whilst we do have to wait for the doctors to write the prescription and send them to pharmacy I do appreciate your frustrations with the delayed collection of the medication.

This is an area that we are working on to improve, and have developed a pharmacy runner volunteer role so that in the future we hope to get the tablets back to the ward as soon as they are ready.

I will feed your comments back to the teams involved in your care

Kind Regards

Claire Marshall
