"Bartholin's cyst"

I was absolutely thrilled at the care and treatment I received at Derriford hospital (Meavy ward) when I came in in excruciating pain on Sunday night after developing a bartholin's cyst. The doctors helped me straight away and sorted me out with my own room where I would stay for the night until my operation at 13.00 on Monday. I received so much care that evening and the nurses came to check my progress every hour/ if not half an hour. The aftercare was good, and I was looked after by nurses who were very reassuring throughout my time there.

The day for me was full of tears as I was very upset given the circumstances of what I had, however the amount of care and positivity I received made it all a bit more bearable. I am now recovering at home 3 days after the operation and healing well. Thank you to everyone at Meavy for looking after me.
