I recently posted about my husband's wait for treatment for a heart condition.
After the worry & uncertainty he's home, with a pacemaker & medication.
In the end, it was resolved quite quickly & I'd like to thank the doctors & nursing staff for their care & skill.
I was surprised today to receive a phone call from one of the ward sisters, who explained the situation to me & apologised, telling me that some of the concerns I had could be remedies.
I can't think of anywhere else that would elicit a response like this & this just confirms the excellence of our NHS.
Staff have to deal every day with distraught relatives & take our feelings seriously.
It's a hard time for us & we sometimes direct our anger in other directions.
Thank you to the doctors who treated my husband's condition.
Thank you to the nurses who work hard day & night to care for us all.
Thank you, for ringing me & being so gentle, reassuring & determined to improve practices.
We are blessed with our Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.
