"Hysterectomy - Ward 11 & Ward 31"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I have recently returned hone from having a subtotal abdominal hysterectomy and i would just like to say a massive thankyou to everyone involved in my care from start to finish.

I arrived at ward 11 at 7.30am and from the moment I got there the nurses on duty made me feel at fully at ease and made me comfortable.

My consultant and my anaesthatist both came to see me and explained clearly what was going to happen and to discuss my operation and my options.

The lovely nurse who walked me to theatre chatted to me all the time, calming my nerves until I was taken to the anaesthetic room.

In here the team knew i was really anxious but kept me cheery until in what seemed like no time at all I was coming round in recovery.

i was cared for in here for a few hours really well until I was finally transferred to bay 4 on Ward 31.

I really cannot thank all the staff enough for all the wonderful care and kindness I received during those 4 days.

They kept me smiling and positive throughout.

Their cheery and friendly way of dealing with me and all the other patients was truly very much appreciated . I was very apprehensive before coming in to hospital but they made my experience a good one and have certainly aided my recovery without a doubt.

So, a very very big thank you once again to each and every one of you all....you are all absolutely amazing :-)
