"how to book an outpatient appointment?"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I wasted half an hour but wasn't able to book an outpatient appointment with gynecology department. My GP wrote letter to QAH 10 days ago asking for an appointment but i've not heard anything back from them. I had medical assisted abortion a year ago and was advised by the consultant to book an appointment asap when i get pregnant next time. I am into week 8 which is when they suppose to have done my first scan, but here i am chasing to book an appointment to see a doctor. Will someone please help with how to book an appointment?

Dear Mona

I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems obtaining an appointment date within the Gynaecology Department. I would like to assure you that I have shared your comments with the department involved.

We would really appreciate the opportunity to help you and get someone to contact you to discuss your concern.

Please could you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at PHT.Pals@porthosp.nhs.uk or via the free phone on 0800 917603 and give them your details and they will be happy to help.

Kind regards.

Debbie
