"Finally"

About: Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

After months of being sent around one department to another, it has finally been made clear to me that Lancashire Care NHS Foundation trust simply does not cater to personality disorder services one iota. The links psych-ed group has been dissolved and any therapeutic community that apparently ever did exist (Really, don't think there ever was one actually? ) doesn't any more.

Seemingly due to funding cuts, though I quite strongly beg to differ, the set-up was a joke years ago before any cuts had been implemented.

To reiterate, Lancashire Care can't seem to do anything for me.  Yet again I've been left to my own devices, despite the fact I am still very ill and struggling to avoid negative coping mechanisms. I really needed a therapeutic community with peer support for this, and that sort of service could be done on a shoe string if needs be. However, it seems as if they don't care enough.  I feel it's only when I finally get myself in to an irreversible drama does anybody give a damn as to whether I have a personality disorder or not.

What could be improved?  Acknowledging personality disorder.  Services must be created.

Yes I think I shall do actually. It just isn't acceptable, there simply needs to be a peer support group for people with a diagnosis of personality disorder. I can't be the only service user that feels this way. It's just so lacking.
