"A&E"

I visited A&E after being sent their from the local GP walk in service. Waited over 2 hours to be assessed and triaged to the correct department even though I had a letter from the GP explaining what was wrong and that I needed an urgent scan.

After another 3 hours I was finally seen by a junior A&E doctor who recommended antibiotics and a scan. I was then reassessed by a Senior consultant who discharged me with oral antibiotics and no scans.

Over the weekend my abdominal pain became worse, I visited UCLH A&E were I was admitted all required scans were carried out and emergency surgery was performed.

Very frustrated at the service I received at Northwick Park, very quick to discharge patients without carrying out a thorough review. Will not be using this department again, if I had not visited another A&E who knows what would of happened.
