"I was very pleasantly surprised"

I read loads of bad reviews about Barnet and was not thrilled to have to attend the hospital. Yet it turns out they have either listened or are not as bad as people describe them. Yes it took very long time for things to happened. But as I had no book and my phone was dead I entertained myself by looking at staff and what they did. And trust me no one was sitting around chatting- they all worked really hard without a break. I can see the NHS is stretched and there was just too many things happening yet I am still very pleased. I was well looked after, listened to my pains and my opinion which turned out to be correct and tested for what felt like everything possible just to be on the safe side. The hospital was clean, not too cold and staff was polite and friendly. If I have to say anything negative it is the lack of food in the A&E waiting room as there is only vending machine with crisps and sweet bars. But as I was kept overnight in the end I did get sandwich dinner from them .

Overall, I have no doubts to recommend the care at Barnet.
