"Let's get behind our hospital!"

We read so much negativity about Tameside hospital, but after my recent experience, I strongly disagree.

It was my first experience of being in hospital in my 74 years. I was taken ill at Ashton Walk in Centre, the doctor called an ambulance and I was taken straight to A&E. I was treated there immediately, no waiting around, and then sent directly to a ward. I was in hospital for 3 weeks and was treated with such care, attention and 100 % commitment. All of the staff were so busy, but always had plenty of time for me. Thanks to the kitchen staff, the food was always good, with plenty of choice. Everyone worked so hard to help me to get me better.

Of course, we can always find fault, but I could not.

So come on people of Tameside, let us all get behind our hospital and the staff who do such a great job there.
