I recently had a laparoscopic myomecomy at st marys, mary standford building, to remove a huge uterine fibroid that had been giving me trouble for some time. As this is a surgical procedure, i was very anxious and didnt know what to expect once it was over, as flash backs of my horroundous c section experience kept coming to mind, and at times the unhelpful staff in the hospital i had my daughter in. I can happily report to you that all the staff at mary stanford st marys are outstanding, from the surgeon to the person who brings you toast. I was blown away by the kindness of the nurses who were very sincere and understanding. I was also pleasantly surprised that the ward only had 4 beds in it, as i thought there would be much more patients in the room than that. This meant more peace and quiet which makes a huge difference after surgery, as you just want to sleep.
So i want to say a huge thank you to all the nurses who looked after me, and massive thanks to the surgical team who were outstanding in all aspects.
"Very happy patient"
