I had my left hip replacement surgery in Oct 14 ... During surgery my femur fractured so they wired the femur . The wire sadly aggravated the tendon in my thigh and i found it incredibly painful to walk ... After months of physio and complaining it was decided to have a coitersone injection into the thigh ..During this procedure it was discovered that the wire was stabbing into the tendon and the sonographer advised that the wire should be removed . The consultant wanted to proceed with the injection and see !! Again months of pain and visits to both my gp and hospital it was granted to take the wire off ... At my follow up appointment the consultant discharged me even tho i was still in pain , this was done last August 15. The consultant realised i was not exaggerating and said the pain is caused by the bursitus caused by the wire ... And this would ease in time ... It hasnt ... I walk like an old lady ... My after care at West Mid has been appalling .... Especially after the wire was removed on the ward ...The consultant has been distant in their approach and hurtful in their disbelief of my on going pain ... And i have lost all confidence in the consultant and West Mid
