"My GP referred me for a blood ..."

What could be improved

My GP referred me for a blood test to the Royal Free Hospital.The next day I recieved a phone call from the GP surgery, that my bloodtest has to be repeated, as the person who took blood from me made a mistake in spelling my name on the bottle,therefore the samples cannot be used.So I took a day off work,went to the GP to pick up the blood form and travelled to the hospital again, all this with a painful foot.When I got there,it was crowded,I explained the receptionist whats happened,and if I can be seen straight away,as what happened wasnt my fault.I must say they were ignorant asking me a few times like:"WHAT?"and then said that they cant do anything about it and things like this.So I had to wait for a long time again,with my foot hurting,and the whole thing delaying my treatment.Im not blaming anybody,we all make mistakes.But in this case all the hospital staffs can do is APOLOGISE, and see the patient right there and then,not to make them wait again.
