I came to A&E after the walk in advised I attend as, due to my symptoms, they couldn't rule out a blood clot.
When I got to A&E it was extremely extremely busy. After waiting a short while in the waiting room I was called in for assessment. I am horrifically phobic of anything to do with hospitals, needles, blood and all other things related and I told the nurses of this. They were so understanding and talked me through everything they were doing for me. I was given a bed in the resuss dept and again the nurses and doctors were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, they put screens up at the end of my bed so that I couldn't see anything that was going on, they bandaged my arm so that the canula wasn't exposed etc even when they were extremely busy and, to be honest, didn't have to they just did. After different tests and x-Ray's it was found it was just an infection and I was sent home with antibiotics. Fantastic people who don't get enough credit! Thank you for making my experience slightly more bearable!
