What could be improved

I attended A&E for a suspected miscarriage and was made to wait in reception for 3hrs, in my view this is unacceptable. They also have no early pregnancy scanning facilities until Monday-Friday 9-5, again unacceptable, there should be a portable USS available for nights and weekends for the doctors to use, to have to wait nearly 72hrs for a scan is emotional torture!!

We are very sorry to hear of your recent experience at Stafford Hospital and would like to offer our sincere apologies for any distress this may have caused. We do have a portable scanner available for out of hours use; however this can only be used by a trained member of staff. We would like to investigate this further and would be very grateful if you could contact our Advice Centre on 01785 230811 so that we could gather more information to enable a thorough investigation.
