"Breast care clinic"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I had to visit the breast care clinic at the hospital with my 94 year old mother in law who suffers with dementia. During the first visit she had to undergo a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy. She was shown nothing but kindness during her visit, time was taken and she was made to feel she was the only patient there. During the second visit to receive the results again nothing but kindness and professionalism, we were given as much time as we needed to have the results explained, treatment considered necessary and any fears put to rest. We came away knowing exactly what was wrong, treatment she was going to receive and contact numbers if we had further questions.

Thank you very much for your comments about the care received by your mother; we are pleased that we were able to reassure you both during what must have been a stressful time.

We will ensure that your comments are passed to our team in the clinic.
