"A Very Calming Experience!"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I attended for an MRI yesterday afternoon (19/2/16).

I was greeted warmly by the person on the reception desk and advised where the MRI department was.

The MRI waiting room was clean, calm and quiet.

The nurse came and checked my form and advised me where the gowns were kept. The nurse then came back to take me into the MRI Scanner room.

I was made comfortable with a cushion under my legs to support my back, an eye mask and headphones.

Upon asking the Radiographer if he was going to play something nice for me, they asked which radio station I would prefer.

The procedure took 30-40 mins.

It is very noisy but as I had smooth radio to listen to I felt calm.

Also there was nice cool air circulating which I found very calming too.

The staff were very professional, efficent and respectful and I have no hesitation on giving my experience on this visit 5 stars.

Dear Wendy, thank you for taking the time to review the MRI service and your comments will be passed onto the team involved.

We are really pleased that you found the whole experience so positive from the environment, staff to the procedure itself.

Kind regards, Communications Team, Leicester's Hospitals.
