"Nearly 7 weeks since MRI and have had no results"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

I attended an MRI appointment on January 2nd, and it is now February 19th. I have received no correspondence since my appointment despite chasing numerous times I am consistently fobbed off about backlogs etc. I do understand the high volume of work for the department but I really think 7 weeks since my scan is way too long to leave a patient waiting for the results. Even in the most likely scenario that it's because the results are fine and therefore there is no immediate urgency, I obviously was referred for an MRI for a reason, and should receive the results in a more acceptable timeframe.
