Even with an appointment the waiting time was 40 minutes, while then being rushed through the appointment in less than 10 minutes. According to the letter sent to me prior my appointment, I was seen by the lead of the dermatology team, which I have to admit sounded rather promising to me. However, after explaining my condition, their reaction and attitude towards me was indifferent if not dismissive.
I did not feel being listened to or taken seriously, but more of being a nuisance. The examination was very brief with no further questions asked. As soon as the prescription was completed and I was told there is no need for me to come back (?) they opened the door, waiting for me to leave, I hardly had time to put on my jacket.
I do not think this is what your Trust means with values like "Understanding you". The whole experience was neither reassuring nor confidence-building.
My condition has since deteriorated, particularly in the days after the appointment. The prescribed skin creams did not help at all and I have now been referred to another hospital.
"Disappointing experience"
