"Brilliant care."

About: Lincoln County Hospital

My sister acquired a chest infection after having Neurological Surgery at Queens Med. Once well enough she was transferred to Lincoln County Hospital to the Carlton-Colby ward.

During her short stay on the Carlton-Colby ward, my sister who has downs syndrome was treated with the highest levels of dignity and respect. All of the staff were very kind and caring, and nothing was too much trouble. The staff spoke directly to my sister, and didn't give up the first time if she didn't understand. The staff were always popping into her room to check that she was okay. Everything in her room was very clean, and her bed linen was changed regularly, and there was always someone keen to offer care and assistance if neccessary. The staff communicated well with her carers and kept us, the family up to date with her care at all times.

Thankyou for taking such good care of her,

Emily.

Hi Emily, I just want to say it pleasure looking after your sister Annabel. I have passed your message on to all the staff including Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy. Messages like these really help to raise morale on the ward, so thank you once again.

from all the team on Carlton Coleby
