"Changing in the toilets??"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

Day surgery (ENT) through Dorrell ward:

I was horrified to be expected to change into my gown in the public toilet in the waiting area. The toilet smelled of its last user and this was far from a hygienic experience.

To add insult to injury I was then marched in my state of undress through public corridors to arrive at Theatre.

From that moment my experience changed and I vote 100% for Theatre and Recovery.

I was relieved when there was no room in Dorrell for me to return from recovery and was sent to ADSU instead where, again, everything was 100%.

The consultant also works at Circle - all future appointments will be taking place there as far as I am concerned.
