"A&E and Intensive care"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I was on holiday in Cornwall and was suddenly taken ill with variceal bleeds.

Having been assessed in A&E I received treatment that day and was cared for in ICU whilst under an induced coma. I was later transferred to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for TIPPS procedure.

The care I received from all at Treliske was excellent and all staff were approachable by my wife, on my behalf, as I was in a coma, to discuss treatment and prognosis.

I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the skill and compassion of the staff concerned.

Many, many thanks!!!
