"Terrible"

About: Northern General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I went to A&E 14th feb 2016 and there was disposable cups thrown all over the floor spillages everywhere people sat eating a curry it was very noisy and the drunks opposite me trying to force themselves to break wind then fell about in fits of laughter when they managed it needless to say after 4 hours of this I left. And the receptionist staff there's only one word for them 'disgraceful'.

I am really sorry to hear about your recent experience of the A&E waiting area. I can understand your distress and the reasons why you decided to leave.

I will be escalating your comments to the senior management in A&E who I am aware are considering the environment and what changes can be implemented for patients and their carers to improve things.

Kind regards
